Reflecting the world as it presents itself, Steven Christou draws satire from the mundane and reveals a complexity to the every-day. With work that spans mediums, Christou often blends multiple different forms across the same artwork. Christou’s creative endeavours also span into acting, where he has worked since 2019. After receiving a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Creative Arts at Deakin University in 2022, a year later the 22-year-old Melbourne-based artist would go on to further excel in academia, earning his honours degree with First Class Honours. He has been a prominent character in television series Single, Out now streaming on Emmy Award-winning network Here TV(USA) and Apple TV+(AUS). He has appeared in numerous TV advertisements, short films, music videos. He is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Journalism at RMIT. His creative writing has been published by Baby Teeth Journal, Sour Cherry Mag, and Nowhere Girl Collective.
